You were our special little girl with the worst case of FOMO that anyone has ever seen. We always somehow knew that you were too precious to survive in this wild world. But we will always remember you like a child, girl. Jenna’s abscence unmasks the utter impotence of language. It’s true that mere words will often fail in affairs of the heart.
The anguish of a parent who has lost a child is unlike any other. There is no deeper hole,…. no vacuum less full,… no silence less deafening. Utter sadness seeps into even the most joyous corners of our hearts while the Sun can give only an illusion of warmth through the chill of Jenna’s shadow. Perhaps it’s God’s way of teaching us things we might never fully understand.
Try to believe that Hope hides among the sorrow. It will bloom when it’s ready.
